  • University signs supplementary agreement for vessel delivery

    [14 Nov 2018] The delivery of the university's new vessel is delayed. The university has now come to an agreement with the Nauta shipyard on the terms for delivery of the vessel.

  • 28 projects granted by the KVA Fund

    [9 Apr 2018] Out of 49 applications to the KVA Fund, 28 have been granted. Funding is given to support internationalization and scientific renewal at the Lovén Centre.

  • Pleased guests at the Lovén Centre stations

    [14 Feb 2018] Three years in a row guests were asked questions about facilities and service at the Lovén Centre. The purpose of the evaluation is to understand what students and guest researchers appreciate or do not appreciate, and to get suggestions for improvements. Guests have given high reviews during all three years.

  • AUV tests in the Koster fjord

    [22 May 2017] For five days a research team has visited the Lovén Centre Tjärnö to test an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) in the Koster fjord prior to an Arctic expedition this coming summer.

    [28 Apr 2016] For three days a German research group has tested equipment and instruments, with the Lovén Centre Tjärnö as a base. During coming summer the equipment will be used during an expedition to the Fram Strait between Svalbard and Greenland.
